Fees and Rebates

Fees & Rebates

We believe in providing accessible mental health care to the community. Our fees are tailored to be affordable so that they meet your needs and at the same time reflect the value that psychological assistance can provide.

Under the GP Mental Health Plan, you are eligible for 10 session rebates per Calendar Year (+10 additional rebates till December 2022). As of July 2021, the rebate for a general psychologist is $88.25, while the rebate for a clinical psychologist is $129.55. As such, our fees are adjusted to be comparable.
We may also process a claim with your private health insurance if you are covered for clinical psychology sessions. Please check with your insurer the percentage you are entitled to claim and the out-of-pocket fee you will incur as part of your cover.

Strict Cancellation Policy

As a small business, we rely heavily on clients to inform us when you need to reschedule or cancel. We ask for a 48 hour notice to do so. This helps us inform others who may be on the waiting list and to sustain our mission of providing affordable psychology services (it keeps us open in the long-run!).

For late cancellations and absences, a fee applies. This fee can be paid before or at the start of your next appointment. It covers administrative costs and other overheads for the hour that was set aside for the appointment and is not rebatable by any third party funding. We may choose to waive one fee depending on circumstances. Further absences and late notices will incur a cancellation fee regardless. As therapy yields better results when engaged consistently, we may some times encourage discharge on support that clients return to therapy in the future.

With that being said, it has been in our experience that mental health symptoms are the most common challenges that people face when it comes to attendance. The best place for you to overcome these issues would be in therapy. The commitment to attend your psychology appointments is the first stepping stone to better wellbeing!
